Will I get updates in the future?

It is unclear what this means for now, as Microsoft has released very few updates since Windows 11 stable. Official reports state that you will have to manually reinstall Windows 11 or upgrade to the latest version by downloading the ISO. According to other updates, meeting the basic requirements of Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 will enable you to get feature updates via Windows Update but not security patches nor updates to Windows Defender. It is not yet clear if this will make it challenging to obtain updates in the future. However, we expect third-party utilities to help us with that task to appear soon.
