    Things you’ll require to upgrade to Windows 11

    Before we start to upgrade your system to Windows 11, there are some things you need before we start. You’re good to go.

    Your PC must meet the requirements to upgrade to Windows 11. Although there has been much debate about why TPM2.0 and Secure Boot are required, Microsoft stands by its decision.

    Way #01: Using Windows Update on Windows 10

    You can check your Windows 10 computer for updates after October 5, 2021.

    • Press Windows key + I to open settings and select Update & Security.

    Way #02: By Using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant

    Microsoft has created a utility that will help you upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. We recommend the new Installation Assistant for upgrading to Windows 11. It will preserve all your data and apps, which is a great benefit. This utility is only available for Windows 10 users and does not work for Insider Program users.

    Way #03: Install Windows 11 from an ISO or a USB

    If you are using Windows 11 Insider Preview, then you can update from an ISO file. Microsoft has provided links to all available ISOs to their download page. These can mount, upgrade, or create a bootable USB. Click on the link to Download Windows 11 ISO file.

    If you plan to format your drive, we recommend having your license key on hand. If you own a pre-built computer or laptop, it is advisable to backup your eSupport directory. Depending on the manufacturer for this folder, you could be charged as some paid software can only be licensed one time from your OEM.

    Yes, Windows 11 requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. Sometimes you can enable TPM 2.0 in the BIOS. If your motherboard doesn’t have it, you may get one by using an aftermarket substitute. If your PC meets the minimum requirements but does not have any of these features, you may be capable of upgrading to Windows 11 in some cases. Although the pros and cons of the same are still being debated, it appears that you will be unable to receive all future official security updates and patches.

    Yes, To pass the initial verification, both TPM and Secure Boot must be enabled. Windows 11 will not verify your computer if Secure Boot or TPM is disabled. It will display an error saying that your system isn’t compatible.

    Windows update stuck at 100%: What to do?

    In that case, You should delete the downloaded software update. Navigate to the directory and delete all files. Then, you can recheck for updates in Windows Update and continue with the Windows 11 upgrade as planned.
