7 Ways to Speed Up Windows 10

As a user of computer equipment, one must know how to maintain and keep it functioning properly. This is to avoid negligent use, which results in damage and eventually having to replace a new device.

7 Ways to Speed Up Windows 10

As is known, Windows 10 is a product developed by Microsoft which includes a computer operating system that is still widely used. When using this product for years, you may see signs that your computer’s performance is starting to slow down and not run as smoothly as usual.

If you start experiencing this kind of thing, don’t let it go, and it should be treated immediately. There’s a lot you can do, from restarting your computer to removing unnecessary software.

7 Ways to Speed Up Windows 10

    1. Restart the computer.

Not many are aware of the state of their computer when faced with a busy schedule. The computer never shuts down or often just puts it into sleep mode. If this continues for many days, a long time, your computer will experience things that are not desirable and will even cause damage.

Restarting Windows 10 is a simple step you can take to give your computer a break. It’s even better if every time after using the computer, you turn off the computer and return to using it the next day.

    2. Clean the disc.

One powerful way to speed up a slow Windows 10 is to clean the disk through the Disk Cleanup feature. This method serves to delete temporary files or what is known as a cache. Clearing the cache will not result in the loss of computer data but will delete the files collected by the system from daily activities while using the computer.

You can simply find the Disk Cleanup feature in the Windows menu, check the files you want to delete, and then click Clean up System files to start cleaning. From this deletion, the computer will get new storage space so that Windows performance is not slow.

    3. Upgrade the operating system.

Windows upgrades frequently to maximize system performance. You can periodically check through Settings whether there is an update or not. If available, we recommend upgrading. Before upgrading, always make sure that your important data is backed up, so it doesn’t get lost during the update process.

Upgrading your OS may also give you a newer security system. On Windows 11, there’s the updated Windows Defender that works better to remove and prevent malware than its previous version. You can also remove malware just by using good remove software. But, we advise using the quality one. The price is always worth as long as you can get the best security services.

    4. Remove unnecessary software.

Maybe you are one of the many people who install applications or software that you don’t really need. This is certainly not the right thing to do because it could be that the software comes from an unsafe source, which can have an impact on Windows being exposed to viruses.

In addition, Windows is also usually equipped with default software that is installed manually. Usually, this kind of software is bloatware and is not needed. We recommend that you re-sort and start removing software that is not important for the smooth performance of Windows 10.

    5. Do not run applications at the same time.

Keep in mind that running applications simultaneously can result in hangs on the computer, especially those applications that are large in size. This event can lead to overheating of the computer, forcibly shutting down the computer, and other inconveniences.

To restore this state, press the Alt Esc Del keyboard key simultaneously and select Task Manager. Then select disabled programs that are running simultaneously.

    6. Regular maintenance.

Luckily Windows 10 has built-in services for maintaining the system, such as checking for malware, scanning for updates, and defragmenting the hard drive. Because system maintenance usually runs in the background and users can feel changes in computer performance, you should be able to overcome this.

The trick is to open the Control Panel and select System and Security. Then click Security and Maintenance and start the maintenance process.

    7. Turn off the auto-sharing setting.

Without realizing it, some operating systems in Windows 10 are installed and run automatically. This can have an effect on the slow process of operating system performance. To solve this, you just have to disable it in the program settings section.
